4. Martin Driscoll (2017)

Martin Driscoll was the inaugural inductee to the Swifts "Hall of Fame", receiving the award at the End of Season awards day for 2016/17, as he left the club after 6 years of superb service.

Martin was manager of a Swifts team from U9 in 2010 all the way through to U16 in 2017 - in which his team floated between the Witney and District 'A' and 'B' leagues, before finishing as 'A' League runners-up in 2015/16, in a season which saw them lose just two games all campaign.

Off the pitch; Martin was a massive part of the day-to-day running of the club. He was solely responsible for the cutting of pitches for all age groups for several years, and acted as Chairman, Club Welfare officer, and partly as Treasurer all at one time for a span of two years leading up to the point in which he was given the Hall of Fame award.

When Martin and his team made the switch over from Enstone Sports in 2010 and joined Chipping Norton Swifts, there were three teams within the club. As they went on through the years, Swifts teams began to deplete to the point where without extra input, Martin's team would have been the only age group remaining.

Driscoll, alongside Shaun Green (who was inducted into the Hall of Fame himself in 2018), decided to start up small "Soccer School" like sessions for young players in the area, in an attempt to rebuild the club once again from the youngest groups. New coaches soon followed to permanently take over both the sessions and the age groups, and the club has continued to grow to this day.
